Educational Qualification (Both Posts)

Candidates must have:

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or equivalent from recognized university
• Proficiency in Computers (Word Processing & Spreadsheets)

Senior Scale Stenographer

• Minimum: 21 Years
• Maximum: 30 Years

Steno Typist (Direct Posts)

• Minimum: 18 Years
• Maximum: 30 Years

Steno Typist (Departmental Posts)

• 18 to 35 Years

Age Relaxation:

• PwD (40%+ disability): 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen: Defence Service + 3 Years
• SC/ST/BC (Punjab, Haryana, UT Chandigarh): 3 Years
• Govt Employees (SSS): 10 Years
• Departmental employees: Service length up to 5 years

Selection Process

Senior Scale Stenographer

• English Shorthand Dictation: 100 WPM (5 minutes)
• Transcription Speed: 20 WPM
• Maximum Mistakes Allowed: 3%
• Spreadsheet Test: 10 Marks (Qualifying – 40% required)

Steno Typist

• English Shorthand Dictation: 80 WPM (5 minutes)
• Transcription Speed: 20 WPM
• Maximum Mistakes Allowed: 4%
• Spreadsheet Test: 10 Marks (Qualifying – 40% required)

Final merit will be prepared based on Word Processing/Transcription Test.
