Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Age Limit: The age limit to apply for MP Police Constable Band Recruitment 2026 is 18-33 Years. The cutoff date for the calculation of the age limit is 19.04.2026. The age relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will be completed in three stages:

1. Skill Test (Screening) – Candidates must play at least one instrument from the prescribed list
2. Band Performance Test (75 Marks)
   • 60 Marks for instrument performance
   • 15 Marks bonus (additional instruments)
3. Interview (25 Marks)
4. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
5. Document Verification
6. Medical Examination

Final merit will be prepared based on performance in the Band Test + Interview.

Musical Instruments Requirement

Candidates must have knowledge of instruments from the given categories:

List A (Mandatory – Any One Required):
Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Saxophone, Trombone, French Horn, Bass Tuba, Drum, etc.

List B (Optional – Bonus Marks):
